{Five on Friday}

Happy Friday friends! Today is our last day of summer...back to school on Monday for Madison and me.

{1} Big news this week...Madison finally said Momma!! She has been saying Dada for a solid month, but not Momma. Earlier in the week, we were eating breakfast and she finally said Momma! Thankfully, when I went to record her, she said it again. She was very proud of herself and started clapping.

{2} We have been shopping for a convertible car seat for Madison. She still fits in her carrier car seat, but we only have 1 that we move between Eric's truck and my car. It is getting to be way to heavy when we load her up after daycare since we leave the car seat at school during the day. We think we have decided on the Chicco Nextfit Zip from Babies R Us. Madison seems to like it!

On the way out of the store, Eric and Madison tried out a big girl toy. She loved riding in the car!

{3} Last weekend, Eric and I spent our first night away from Madison! We went into Houston and stayed at The Houstonian Hotel. The hotel was beautiful! It was in a wooded area, which isn't common for the area it's located. Since we were footloose and fancy free, we did what any married couple does on their weekend away...bought a new trash can at The Container Store! Eric has been looking for a metal trash can for a while, so he was happy with his purchase.

While we enjoyed our weekend away, we sure did miss our girl! Apparently we were excited to see her when we got home because we squished her little face when we went to kiss her.

{4} Remember the car Madison tried out when we were shopping for car seats? Somehow it made its way into Pop's truck when they came to babysit Madison last weekend! She LOVES her car! We have spent lots of time walking up and down the hallway this week when it has been to hot or rainy to go outside.

{5} Madison looked like such a southern belle today in her little bubble from GiGi and PePe!

Here are a few more pictures of Madison just because I love her so much!

{Five on Friday}

Happy Friday friends! We have been having a blast this week with Katie in town from NYC.

{1} We had so much fun celebrating 4th of July with Madison a couple weeks ago! We went to Eric's family lake house and Madison rode on the boat for the first time. She was happy as long as we were moving.

{2} After 4th of July, we went to stay at the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort in Bastrop with Michael, Heather and the kids. We had a great time being with them. Madison loves her cousins so much! I've learned having a baby is a great excuse to be in your pajamas by 8:30 at night on vacation.

{3} We had such a wonderful time with Katie visiting this past week! I am so thankful to have her as a friend. We can go a long time without seeing each other and pick up right where we left off. Last time she was here, Madison was 2 months old...she sure has grown since then! We spent the week eating good food, shopping, playing with Madison and celebrating Katie's birthday early.

{4} This week, Katie introduced to the goodness of Trader Joes. It was so much fun! It is a grocery store, but they carry their own brands. They have different specialty items and the prices are amazing! We got some delicious candies, such as s'mores bites, dark chocolate peanut butter salted caramel bites and yogurt covered pretzels. My mom has been talking about going back since we left.

{5} I just love Madison so much! She is so adventurous, but wants mommy and daddy close by. She is getting to be such a good eater, learning news things all the time and has a smile that melts your heart! This will be our last week of summer, so we are going to make the most of it!

Konesheck Family Vacation 2014

A few weeks ago, we went to San Antonio and stayed at the JW Marriott resort. We have been here twice before and it is always an amazing place to stay. The hotel is on top of a hill, so you overlook the hill country and the golf course on site. One thing we like about the resort is that there is so much to do on site, you really don't have to leave for the weekend. Each morning, we ate breakfast at Cibilo Moon, where they have an amazing breakfast buffet. We spent our days swimming, floating the lazy river and going down the water slides. There is also a sports bar that serves delicious food. Throughout the day and evening, there were tons of things for kids and families to do. They had games, s'mores, a movie at the pool, stargazing, live music and a food truck.

Funny story...any vacation with the Koneshecks is an adventure. Between all 15 of us, there were quite a few rooms. Eric's family had booked the same type of room for everyone. His sister, Katie, and her fiancé, David, got to the hotel first and checked everyone in. A couple of the rooms weren't the right ones and they got it worked out, except for 1 room. The hotel said since they couldn't accommodate the room type they had paid for, they would have to put 1 room in the Presidental Suite! We thought they were joking until we saw the room. It was  amazing!!! It worked out well because we had a room for everyone to hang out in together. One night we orderd fajitas from a local restaurant and had a buffet style dinner. It was so nice to be able to relax and not go out to eat.

We had such a wonderful weekend!

                  The whole family!

My parents would have been so proud!

Last day of vacation...Madison's over it.
