Madison's 1st Birthday

We have a 1 year old in our house! Madison celebrated her 1st birthday last Saturday, September 6th. The day went perfect and Madison was loved on by so many people. She loved her cake! We could barely even get a candle in before she started eating. We are still recovering from the party, so there will be more pictures to come another day.

The night before her party, Madison knew something special was happening!

Madison's birthday morning started with a pink sprinkle donut!

Her pre-party outfit...there were lots of outfit changes!

One Whole Year

I don't even know where to begin...today is the last day before Madison turns 1. We have a big birthday to celebrate tomorrow! This has been without a doubt, the most amazing year of our lives. I can't believe we are so lucky to have Madison as our daughter. She has spoiled us from day one with how amazingly perfect she was. She has always been a good sleeper and eater, only cries when there is something really wrong and just goes with the flow.

As much as Eric and I were "prepared" for her to be born, our hearts were not prepared for how much we would love her. While this year has gone fast, it has gone just slow enough. It is amazing how much she has grown in the past year. Even though it has been a year, I remember the moment the doctor put her on my chest like it was 5 minutes ago. I'll never forget how clean she was and that she had a mouth full of fluid. Now, one short year later, she is saying words, eating everything under the sun, done with formula and bottles, crawling, pulling up and getting brave about letting go to stand.

We are so excited to celebrate Madison tomorrow with our family and friends. Among all the pink, purple and cupcakes tomorrow, all I want to remember in the end is that it was a special day for Madison and she feels how much she is loved by so many people.

We love you so much baby girl!
